I have both always been inspired by nature, colour, design, and textiles. The aesthetics of Scandinavian and Japanese design have always been a strong influence on my artwork. I have previously studied a Bachelor of Art Education at the University of New South Wales, College Of Fine Art and a Diploma of Illustration and Design at TAFE, Enmore Design Centre NSW. I am currently teaching Visual Art at Casuarina Senior College and painting in my spare time.
I have exhibited my work in both group and solo shows in Sydney and in Darwin. My earlier work was focused on geometric shapes and colour. More recently, I have been focusing on creating work that falls somewhere in between figurative and abstract representation with a strong emphasis still on colour.
Since moving to Darwin in 2016 I have been really taken by the tropical environment. I was involved in the Tropical Takeover event organised by Tactile Arts in 2017 at the Darwin Waterfront, where I painted a mural design in a shopfront window. I have also had my work displayed in a city shopfront as part of the live Darwin Alfresco Art initiative.
