Bruce Munro Tropical Light

The final three Tropical Light Ambassadors have been announced as part of the Bruce Munro: Tropical Light Community Engagement Program.

They are Elena Gomatos, who identifies as someone who is 45 years and over, Vicky Liu, who speaks English as a second language and Alex McInnes who lives with a disability.

There are now six successful Tropical Light Ambassadors who will all partake in one Tropical Light tour experience and one Darwin tourist experience, while being filmed by the Tropical Light media crew to share on social media.

The other three ambassadors include Darwin residents Jerusha Harper-Ceylani, Cat Hart and Nicole Brown who have taken on the young family ambassador, arts enthusiast ambassador and Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander ambassador roles respectively.

Bruce Munro: Tropical Light is the first major event created for the tropical summer. This provides an excellent opportunity to promote all the fun experiences there are to do in Darwin during that time to potential visitors. Sometimes those experiences are not found in a brochure which is why Tropical Light organisers went searching for six locals to become an ambassador and promote fun Darwin experiences.

The ambassador role requires successful applicants to create content that captures the complete Tropical Light experience and share that content publicly through their social media channels, using the hashtag #tropicfun

Ambassadors and the photos and videos they produce, will be promoted through the exhibition’s website, and Instagram and Facebook accounts, providing a local voice for local experiences.
